An AR-15 and an M4 are functionally cousins. The difference is that the M4 is a tool of state sanctioned violence, backed by logistics, drones, tanks, and the narrative of legitimacy. No regular guy is committing genocide with an ar15. But men with m4s are.

Just watched a cell phone video of a peaceful protester draped in an American flag being beaten by a police officer with his baton. Nothing says America like that.

I’m not an activist, but as someone who reports on people who are, I see some activists sneering at people who are late to a cause they’ve fought hard for. Surely the point of activism is pitching to the centre to make change? Not alienating or mocking those whose minds you surely wanted to change?

Maybe if your country is the wealthiest in the world but the richest tenth of the country have two thirds of the wealth and the bottom 50% only have 2.5% of the wealth, you don't have the wealthiest country in the world, you just have feudalism.
