They're going to hit 2.5 hours at least, at this point. There has been literally zero substance in either Hegseth's or Trump's remarks, certainly nothing that these generals will need to go back to their commands and brief subordinates on. Nothing.

Going on two hours of making these officers sit and listen to madness and idiocy. "Go out and draw fire," Hegseth's final advice, shows how little he knows about combat or fighting.

A 100% tariff on branded drugs would cost American insurance companies and consumers roughly $100 billion a year for top 10 imported branded drugs without generics. This includes Ozempic (and Wegovy) , Keytruda (cancer drug), and Eliquis (blood thinner). #pharmaceuticals #healthcare #tariffs

I'm disturbed by the idea floating around here that if you're a farmer, you of course voted for Trump, and therefore you deserve for your farms to fail because of tariffs. Not only is this wrong, but it shows profound ignorance of how rural economies work, and of the wide human cost of farm failure

It’ll be intriguing to see if calls for Kirk to lie in state in the Capitol, and even to place a statue of him there, will quiet down as the identity and beliefs of the shooter become widely known. If they do, we know how little those voices care about Kirk, and how much they care about civil war.

Air Force service members with 15-18 years of service can be eligible for early retirement. The Trump admin just blocked early retirement for all trans folks in the Air Force leaving them without the lifelong pensions or healthcare they're owed for their service.
