This is incredibly embarrassing for canvas. Both that the system has been down all day and that this is their 404 screen.

I find myself gravitating toward games with loose rulesets. Those who want clear win conditions might find this frustrating. But emergent narrative is what my game groups and I crave. Games like Stationfall, Oath, & Molly House deliver that. These are the games we talk about long after we’re done.

PACKERS WIN THE SUPER BOWL!!!
50 years ago tonight, on Thursday, July 17, 1975, more than 200 people watched the filming of "The Giant Spider Invasion" in Merrill, Wisconsin, as actor Alan Hale Jr. played a sheriff. A truck-mounted crane moved the 35-foot spider. Five crewmen moved its legs. The scene took two takes.

Once again, it must be said as loudly as possible: AI can't do the things described in this paragraph, and there is no pathway to it ever being able to do them.

My wife just got the JG Wentworth song wrong. Should I be concerned that this is an early warning sign of dementia?

I guess people need to see the prospect of their own mortality to make smart decisions.
I've never seen it so well put before.

Is this the long awaited sequel to Rob Reiner and Aaron Sorkin’s well received 1995 political romcom?

Not only did I blow up the Death Star with a trench run. I did so by evacuating my rebel base one turn before the imperial player was assured to locate and decimate it, earning the 2 points I needed to win the game. Banner win.

As the rules teach for my board game group, I usually find it easy to conceptualize a game from the manual. But I’ve had a hard time doing so w/ Molly House. So we threw caution to the wind and played a week. Once it hits the table it all makes so much sense. Looking forward to more plays!

This is incredibly cool: if you search for a condition that’s affected your family, the site returns stats on how much NIH has done for that disease, *and* a contact form for reaching out to tell your Members of Congress why you want to see them defend NIH.

Pass it on!

Just finished this book by @scalzi.com It’s a very good book. You should read it. Especially if you despise rich a-holes whose only concern is maximizing their own wealth regardless of the effect it has on others. But why would anyone be inclined to have that attitude right now?

1/ This story triggered a though I've had the past couple of months about the value of the news in times of information chaos. Simply, the U.S. is dismantling whole swaths of the government tasked with providing reliable data for the public. I do think Trump's folks think if we have no data ...
