Up until its very last months in operation, churches in Missouri and across the U.S. were getting glowing reports about the good things they were funding at the Niños de México orphanage.

It turned out Niños had abuse cases going back 58 years.

Now closed, its leaders have seemingly vanished.

After 37 years in prison, Martin McNally has a particularly blunt and evocative vocabulary -- I still remember him telling me that he had to "pump up his nuts" before jumping out of the plane in 1972.
