Been a bit of a journey but I’ve made it now over a month now fully nicotine free:

- Quit cigarettes over 2 years ago

- Quit vaping on Black Friday

- Went off the patch 5 weeks ago today

And I’m feeling fantastic.

When MAGA folks start talking about “antifa groups” or “radical socialist groups” on university campuses indoctrinating youth, ask for specifics. Like name one. If it’s such a problem why can’t anyone be specific? Ya’ll’s being played lol.

If your company doesn’t trust WFH because they’re suspicious that their employees are taking advantage of it, that’s entirely a hiring practice and leadership facilitation failure at that company.

You wouldn't dismantle the agency that protects consumers for corporate abuse and scams unless you wanted your rich buddies to be able to abuse and scam consumers.

Reminder with the attacks on the Department of Education, all those proposals for school vouchers/“school choice” just means welfare for rich people, raises taxes on poorer neighborhoods, and funnels taxpayer money to religious schools.

I can’t stress this enough to Microsoft: there has never been a time in my life where I’ve said “gee, I’d like ads in my operating system”.

Oh my, this thing is hyper modern compared to my memories of having to switch between multiple floppies because the computer itself didn’t have enough internal memory to perform application and OS functions simultaneously. When my parents upgraded to a dual drive system that was considered a luxury.

Over the last week I’ve been reducing my caffeine intake.

What I wasn’t prepared for was it being 10x harder than quitting nicotine 😰.

Most arguments justifying return to office policies for jobs that can be done remotely usually just lead back to one or more of the following:

- Poor management
- Poor workplace culture
- Poor location planning
- Poor hiring standards
- Poor tooling decisions

If you wanted no leaks you should have gone into Settings -> Security -> Configure privacy & security -> Privacy options -> Other -> Configure -> Media interface and clicked “Disallow.”

The Leak setting is on by default but we understand your privacy is important so we’ve made it easy to opt out

Transitioning over to BlueSky from other platforms. Ethically it’s something I feel I need to do but not having “your stuff” ready to go on a new platform is rough.
