Have been asked by a proof reader to spell out what JASP is an abbreviation for in a new manuscript. Discovered it stands for Jeffrey's Amazing Statistics Program", which is now in the paper.

This makes me happy.

And a final bonus meme: Laura Bridgman was the first person with no sight and hearing who learned how to communicate via finger spelling. She later taught Anne Sullivan who introduced Helen Keller to finger spelling. Yet, sadly, most are unaware of Laura Bridgman's pioneering role today.

One of the side effects of the infantilisation and exclusion of disabled people is that non-disabled people routinely represent us - to the extent that even projects about disability are often run by people who aren’t disabled. Who Wants Normal? is my small bid to help counter that. (2/3)

We can’t believe this needs saying out loud: It would be a good thing if the UK Government ensured that disability benefit reforms didn't inadvertently increase poverty rates among disabled people. Cutting essential support could have devastating effects on their quality of life.
