After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

Harrisonburg, VA: Memorial Bike Ride for those killed, injured and disappeared by ICE. 4:30 pm Sat 1/31 from Bluestone Bike and Run to loop around Court Square. If you can’t ride, light their way. Stand and hold a candle as cyclists ride by to hold space in solemn remembrance.

This matters. Not because I think Trump is capable of mercy or empathy towards these vulnerable groups. But because it is a public act of defiance.
