Q for my fellow scientists: you reviewed or authored a paper & when you see all of the reviewers’ comments, it is obvious one reviewer’s was written by ChatGPT, which all relate to the paper’s writing style rather than the actual science presented. Do you contact the handling editor? #sciencesky #AI

I've been on a bsky hiatus but I'm back to tell you to read this very cool paper if you're interested in IFNs & host-pathogen interactions! Our fav constitutively-expressed IFN, IFN-epsilon, facilitates immune evasion by Neisseria gonorrhoeae via modulation of sialic acid metabolism #immunosky

I am incredibly honoured to be selected as an OCRF grant awardee in 2025 – every $ awarded by @ocrfaustralia.bsky.social was raised by supporters determined to improve outcomes for patients with ovarian cancer 🩵
Our 2025 national research grants announcement is our biggest yet!

In our 25th anniversary year, we are delighted to announce OCRF’s largest ever funding round, awarding $3.5M across eight innovative and important ovarian cancer research projects.

Super cool new ovarian cancer research from the Bilandzic group at @hudsonresearch.bsky.social ! #ovariancancer #metastasis #immunosuppression
Dr Maree Bilandzic's latest research reveals that KRT14-positive leader cells drive #OvarianCancer metastasis by suppressing the immune system & the loss of these leader cells impaired metastasis without affecting tumour cell proliferation. Read more: bit.ly/41Ck5lU

Loved this talk from Prof Bowen, great example of how to engage with Aboriginal communities to improve health outcomes both respectfully and effectively 🖤💛❤️@theviin.bsky.social #lorneiandi
Incredible to hear from Prof Asha Bowen OAM who presented on the SToP (See, Treat, and Prevent) trial for impetigo the Kimberley region of WA. Her talk highlighted the importance of cultural engagement in clinical trials and public health initiatives. #lorneiandi

What a great pick for this year’s #lorneiandi Hertzog oration, David Underhill @cedarssinai.bsky.social presenting exciting research (recently published @nature.com !) identifying a role for PDL1 in binding fungi during phagocytosis. Shame @paulh1pjh.bsky.social couldn’t make it this year!

One of the coolest science tattoos I’ve seen! 😍
Hey folks! I got a tattoo of my beloved PIEZO ion channel on my arm! Now I can show how they activate (flatten) under pressure by flexing—Will add a bit of performance art to my science talks 🧪🧠.
