It’s been a year since RCN members sounded the alarm about their experience of corridor care.

We have a message for ministers: Stop stalling. Act now.

A new report by the government’s own patient safety investigator reveals that far from being confined to winter, corridor care in England is now entirely normalised all year round.

The government needs to stop dragging its feet and publish national data on the extent of this crisis to eradicate it.

The bare minimum staff deserve is to be safe at work.

This investigation into sexual & physical assaults in NHS trusts in England shows a lack of standardised reporting of incidents.

There is little doubt that some employers are in breach of their legal duties by failing to report incidents. (1/2)

Our members have been raising the alarm on corridor care for over a year.

We need bold action. Alongside increased capacity in community and social care, we also need national-level data on corridor care, for full transparency on the reality of this crisis.

People were rightly furious with the Conservative Party for plunging the NHS into this crisis. Now they are fed up with Labour for letting things get worse on their watch.

We must tackle the crisis in A&E.
