The latest Cloudflare and Amazon outages have got me thinking about utilities. We can't build modern software without dependencies. The days of running entirely on the client are over, which I see as a good thing. The cost is that we rely on infrastructure.

@sarahowen.org.uk - happy to share an article by the highly respected Dr. Julian Hargreaves who backs my proposed definition of Islamophobia/Anti-Muslim hatred.
Previous definitions have been controversial, failing to unite politicians, academics and British Muslims, and leading to charged debates over free speech.
Why is Islamophobia so hard to define?

Freedom of religion and belief is a crucial part of what makes the UK so vibrant.

I will always defend religious freedoms, and challenge dog-whistle racism. It is not who we are and must be called out.

Integration is not achieved by othering, but by genuinely understanding and coming together.

Reform's newest MP had a question to the Prime Minister today - and instead of raising the hundreds of issues that people might face, she decided to double down on an Islamophobic trope against Muslim women.

Our Parliament should be better than that.

@sarahowen.org.uk - This needs to be investigated, and those found to have perpetrated these war crimes in the SAS brought to justice. We all knew this was going on from reports from non-Western media outlets at the time, now the BBC has confirmed it. Utter depravity.

As the summer showed, many British Muslims in Luton and beyond are facing unacceptable hate and discrimination.

This year, @commonswomequ.parliament.uk will launch an inquiry into the impact of Islamophobia on Muslim women, and I will continue to press the govt on this issue at every opportunity.

Good to see another rejection of the APPG on British Muslim's definition of Islamophobia. This time by the reputable An-Nisa Society. When will Labour MPs like @sarahowen.org.uk @rachelhopkins.bsky.social come to realise how poor it is in addressing the problem.
