This is digital humanities
Books designed to be read only by human eyes are different from books designed to be read by machines, which is why Google will tell you that the phrase “shake my booty” can be found in an 1863 English translation of Don Quixote.

Have found out that I’m off to the Lewis Walpole Library in Connecticut as a Visiting Scholar later this year with my fab colleague Prof Maria Hayward. I am so excited.

There are around 10k private school kids in Edinburgh.
51 have moved to state schools in January.
As I've repeatedly said the effects of VAT on fees are going to be minimal.

Feeling very lucky to be part of a team of historians awarded a stay at a Landmark Trust property in 2025 as part of their Futures Scheme to advance our project thinking about nightlife in eighteenth century towns. We will be staying at Belmont a beautiful Georgian seaside villa in Lyme Regis.

Easy to blame American voters for this but the Supreme Court could have stopped this. Trump v United States, Trump v Anderson — they could have stopped Trump as a candidate.

Welcome to BlueSky, history emigres from the Bad Place.
Remember there’s no algorithm here serving you up posts (and dross) by default. If you don’t follow and engage, your timeline will seem very empty. So follow and engage. There’s a lot of good conversation here.
