Take 15 minutes to listen to why destroying all forms of immigration is incredibly destructive to the US economy.

The MAGA regime are abducting tax-payers, consumers, parents and workers and sending them to brutal foreign prisons while closing all doors to the US.
I spoke at @piie.com about the crisis in US immigration policy.

The mass exclusion of US immigrants that begins in 10 weeks will eliminate jobs for US natives and raise the federal deficit (that is: will raise taxes on natives and our children).

“Because the volume of detentions is so high and people are really stretched thin in the work that they’re doing, it’s not shocking or surprising that this type of mistake could happen,” Kerry Doyle, the top ICE lawyer during the Biden administration, said of Mr. Juarez’s case.

"It is unclear how many other immigrants like Mr. Juarez have been erroneously removed, in part because ICE has not in the past tracked such cases."

ICE is working with local police to arrest more undocumented immigrants at traffic stops. In a break with the past, many arrestees have no violent criminal record.

What would Trump give to have a crowd of adoring country men and women attending to his every word and being happy to see him? And this was a woman. A Latin American woman showing him up. Ouchie. That's gotta sting.

Trump immigration policies are a massive self-inflicted economic wound.
Immigration to the United States generates economic activity and creates jobs for American workers. What Trump is doing is not routine immigration enforcement, he’s trying to eliminate the immigrant workforce that has made our economy the strongest in the world.
South Korean workers detained during a massive immigration raid on a Hyundai facility in Georgia will be returned to South Korea on a chartered flight. @andreaflores.bsky.social of @fwd.us said the workers were here “not to take jobs, but create jobs.”
September 9, 2025 at 3:06 PM
The economy and jobs have always been fig leafs for the anti-immigration movement, wrapping themselves in false - often literally backwards - economic arguments to persuade otherwise decent people to support the nativist's real agenda, a whiter nation.
It turns out Stephen Miller was incorrect. “The significant drop in foreign-born workers to the United States in 2025 has not made U.S. workers better off and instead has contributed to concerns about a stagnating economy.” @mclem.org @douglasrivlin.bsky.social

Agree. Yet on the immigration side, reporters still mainly focus on "crackdown on undocumented" immigrants, which is both inaccurate and extremely generous to Trump, Miller and the white supremacists.
The new reality: Employers are pulling back as they adjust to the Trump economy, one that features heightened uncertainty, costlier foreign goods and a diminished labor supply amid immigration crackdowns.

"Immigration crackdown" implies Trump is trying to deport children who lack legal status or statutory standing to remain in the US. What is actually happening here is that Trump is stripping children of their status in order to deport them, to pad his numbers.
