I was delighted to meet with my constituent & fellow Unison member Damilola in Parliament to support Unison's campaign for migrant workers' protection.

I am grateful for his contributions to our community and fully support Unison's proposed changes to Health & Social Care visas.

At this week's Scottish Affairs Committee meeting, I asked the UK Chair of ExxonMobill to provide me with the company's profits for last year following their closure of their Mossmorran plant in Fife.

He could not give me an answer.

I found this extraordinary given his position at Exxon.

🛠️Labour have secured the future of Grangemouth, investing £120million to protect 500+ local jobs & hundreds more in the supply chain.

🏗️While SNP & Conservative Governments let Grangemouth slowly decline, Labour stepped in and saved the country's last remaining ethylene plant.

🥃It was a privilege to host and speak at last night's Pernod Ricard event as MP for West Dunbartonshire.

We have the largest UK based operation in Kilmalid, a state of the art bottling facility employing more than 1000 workers locally - great to see the event so well attended!

✅The Employment Rights Bill has officially passed through Parliament, a major victory for working people across the country!

👏I joined the Minister for Employment Rights to celebrate the passing of this landmark legislation which brings workers' rights into the 21st century.

I attended @humaneworldorg.bsky.social @animallawfdn.bsky.social @ciwf.org.uk Parliamentary Reception in support of the campaign to end misleading animal welfare labelling.

Many of my constituents asked that I represent them at this event & advocate for accurate information on all animal products.

At the debate on Grangemouth, I outlined our Scottish Affairs Committee findings. We concluded the previous Conservative Government & Scottish Government could have acted sooner. The resulting hardship could've been avoided and we emphasised the importance of early intervention.

🎛️Rounding off #SmallBusinessSaturday was my visit to The Glasgow Stove Centre in Duntocher, Clydebank.

🔥They are the largest supplier of wood-burning & multi-fuel stoves in the West of Scotland, employing several local people in West Dunbartonshire.

Thanks for the tour Gavin!

☕️Next up for #SmallBusinessSaturday was Grove Food & Beverage in Levengrove Park, Dumbarton to try some of their fantastic menu!

🧁Officially opening their doors just last year, the family-owned café has established themselves as a local staple and I can see why - thanks again!

My first visit for #SmallBusinessSaturday was to the fully organic Portnellan Farm in Gartocharn on the banks of Loch Lomond.

🚤🏠I was extremely impressed by their diversification, offering accommodation for a relaxing weekend away and fun water activities right on the Loch!

This past weekend marked #SmallBusinessSaturday, and I had the pleasure of visiting three fantastic family-owned small businesses across West Dunbartonshire.

Thanks to Portnellan Farm in Alexandria, Grove Food and Beverage in Dumbarton and the Glasgow Stove Centre in Clydebank for having me!

⚽️🟥I attended Dumbarton F.C.'s ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ event and took part in their Q&A with local school pupils.

Racism has no place in our country.

I was very impressed by their curiosity, passion for anti-racism and knowledge on the topics of race, racism, and anti-racism.

It was great to visit Castle View Care Home in Dumbarton today and spend some time chatting with the residents & hard-working staff.

Thank you to Cheryl, Catherine & all the staff at Castle View for welcoming me and for providing such a vital service in our community.

This week marked the conclusion of our Committee's review of the Public Office (Accountability) Bill, also known as #HillsboroughLaw.

It was a great honour & privilege to be part of the Bill committee, particularly the emotional evidence sessions involving the families affected.
