Shame on the SNP for trying to silence me on child poverty. They tried their best to shout me down today at PMQs but failed.
The SNP cannot handle the truth that they had 8 years to lift the two child benefit cap - it takes a Labour Government to deliver.

I welcomed the UK-India trade deal, securing thousands of Scotch Whisky jobs for West Dunbartonshire constituents. However, securing the release of Jagtar Singh Johal must remain a priority. He turned 39 yesterday, his 9th birthday in arbitrary detention.

I welcomed the UK-India trade deal, securing thousands of Scotch Whisky jobs for West Dunbartonshire constituents. However, securing the release of Jagtar Singh Johal must remain a priority. He turned 39 yesterday, his 9th birthday in arbitrary detention.

🏃♀️🏅I was delighted to attend a Civic Reception in honour of Clydesdale Harriers 140th anniversary where I presented the club with my EDM recognising this incredible milestone, and their legacy as Scotland’s first open amateur athletics club.

As APPG Co-Chair, I was joined by 91 MPs and Lords in calling for the Govt to reconsider its rejection of compensation for 1950s women for maladministered state pension age changes. The Ombudsman was clear: injustice occurred, compensation should follow. Read the letter in full👇

Today, the UK Labour Government has announced their National Cancer Plan, delivering record investment into our NHS.
I welcomed Labour’s plans to invest in technology that will drive earlier detention, slash waiting times, and save over 320,000 lives over the course of the plan.
