I have been actively supporting my constituents affected by the termination of CMutual's Family Protection Plan.
Given that thousands of elderly and vulnerable people across the UK are set to be impacted by this, I requested an urgent investigation and debate on this issue.

Today marks 8 years since my West Dunbartonshire constituent Jagtar Singh Johal was wrongfully arrested and arbitrarily detained in India.

At the debate on statutory maternity & paternity pay, I highlighted that the UK Labour Government's review of parental leave should include a significant rise in pay to at least to the national living wage & new dads should have minimum 6 weeks of leave at full pay.

The Prime Minister confirmed to me today that he raised the case of my constituent, Jagtar Singh Johal, arbitrarily detained in India for 8 years now, during his meeting with Prime Minister Modi in India.
It's time he is released immediately & returned home to his family in Dumbarton.
