RFK Jr.: Vaccines No More Effective Than Drinking Horseshoe Crab Blood Straight
WASHINGTON—Citing extensive research he had conducted on the matter, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Good news in the latest inflation report.

The total CPI rose only 0.1% over the month, and 2.4% over the year.

"Core" CPI also rose only 0.1% last month, and is up 2.8% over the year.

Inflation's not back to where we want it, but these data are better than Wall St expected.

2018: Steel tariffs go up
→ 1,000 jobs saved in steel (it's a tiny industry)
→ 75,000 jobs lost elsewhere (steel is used everywhere)
Same script. Same cast.
Spoiler alert: The ending still sucks.

Trump's assault on universities is act of self-harm that will undermine US long-term interests
• Funding cuts will slash government spending on research, making US less attractive for top-notch researchers
• Uncertainty around visas will deter world's brightest minds from applying to US universities

This is a decision to hobble innovation in the United States, slash our high skill workforce, force out some of the world's best and brightest, and kneecap America's status as a top destination for the world's brightest students.

It is the exact opposite of policy to fuel our future prosperity.

Today the nominee to head USCIS stated directly: he will end Optional Practical Training, the single largest channel for high-skill immigrants to work in the US.

Skilled immigration on the chopping block? Effects of eliminating "Optional Practical Training" in the US
The White House has taken numerous steps to sharply reduce the number of immigrant workers, with or without legal status, in the US economy. These policies, so far, typically target immigrants with le...

Three things made the US a rich and powerful nation: the rule of law, its science & innovation system, and openness to foreign talent. Remarkable how Trump has taken a sledgehammer to all three. No enemy of this country could do more.

There's a lotta concern about the short run (ie recession or not) implications of Trump's agenda. Dani is right to point to the long run as far far more consequential.

If Trump is serious about tariffs on movies, it's a very dangerous escalation. Tariffs have not traditionally been applied to services, and the United States is a massive net exporter of services. We would be extremely vulnerable to any service-based retaliation.
Trump says movies produced outside the U.S. are a national security threat. So he’s imposing a 100% tariff on all movies that are “produced in foreign lands.”
