MGS4 has some of the ....i wont say worst, but most unique writing in any game. It's so fucking insane that it does make me wonder how Kojima gets funding for things when he has to pitch an idea and go "Ok. So....hear me ouy"

I met Khary Payton, Drebins’ voice actor at a con and someone had asked about how it was working on MGS4, if there was any standout moments to him he remembered.
He then began to describe being given Laughing Octopus’s backstory and genuinely thought he was being pranked.

one thing that kinda bugs me is when a turn-based RPG has reaction-based mechanics like paper mario does and people immediately jumping to "stop trying to fix turn-based RPGs" with the assumption that that's the only reason people do that, like some people just wanna make that kind of game

I know it's meant in good faith but "if we just made smaller scope games and charged 20-40 dollars for them it would fix the industry" is very funny to me. indies release like 20 of those a week on steam. are you buying them? is the industry fixed? no? hm. sounds like you need a different solution
