Peggy Flanagan wins the primary, Amy Klobuchar wins governor and appoints Angie Craig to her senate seat. Is that how it goes?

This morning, federal agents staged at the Powderhorn Park Recreation Center lot and began to throw chemical irritants at observers. They also kidnapped an observer. Our parks are meant for our children, youth, and neighbors. They should never be militarized zones meant to separate families. 1/

It was a joy to see Bruce Springsteen and Tom Morello at First Ave, but it was the cover of This Land Is Your Land that made me cry.

Ok, how about this happens at the Minneapolis Orchestra Hall, instead?
Breaking news: Composer Philip Glass withdrew his highly anticipated Symphony No. 15 from its scheduled Kennedy Center performance, saying “the values of the Kennedy Center today are in direct conflict with the message of the Symphony.”

Like much love to our friends outside MN and thank you for cheering us on, but this is far from over, unfortunately. And when it calms down here, it will go somewhere else and we'll count on you to protect your neighbors. I know you will. I'll send snacks and guides.

One thing that irks me: people keep calling the folks on the streets in Minneapolis protestors. They are not generally there to protest, they are there to observe and document. This is the product of organizing and mutual aid. It is telling that these acts of citizenship are seen as protest!

This is what happened in our neighborhood yesterday. ICE snatched a human being off of our streets, roughed them up badly, and then pepper sprayed legal observers as they documented it all. This is a daily occurrence happening all throughout Minnesota right now.

If you’re in the Twin Cities and want to do the most minimal thing to annoy ICE, drive the fucking speed limit. These goons get so angry when 20 is plenty.

Xcel Energy contractor Osmose is working on a utility pole on our block, and one of the workers wrote "BLM is a joke" in chalk on the sidewalk.

They tried to wipe it away after someone complained, and then claimed it said "FML it sucks." So...what the hell Xcel?
