Disability advocates say this is common. The employee needs to be counselled and the airline/airport needs a kick up the arse. Unforgivable.
A Virgin employee at Tullamarine just confronted my cousin in a wheelchair, in front of a packed gate lounge, demonstrated walking 6 steps, three times raised her voice: “so you’re telling me, you can’t walk that far??!! ” Because Virgin failed to get the wheelchair for boarding despite booking.

It's clear ABC Australia & ABC News mgmt is actively ignoring audience feedback:

There is widespread support for banning gambling ads on free-to-air media. The main objection is free-to-air networks can’t afford to lose the $$.
