In CHRISTY, the story of boxing pioneer Christy Martin follows well-worn biopic tropes – but goes darker than usual, with Sydney Sweeney giving it raw poignancy. My review at @moviefone.bsky.social: www.moviefone.com/news/movie-r...

Lynne Ramsay's DIE MY LOVE is as provocative and haunting as her other films, with a raw, fearless performance from Jennifer Lawrence at its center, but the movie ends up chasing its own tail. My review at @moviefone.bsky.social: www.moviefone.com/news/movie-r...

One of the year's best, Joachim Trier's SENTIMENTAL VALUE is about family, art, film, grief, memory, and human connection -- or lack thereof. Outstanding work from Renate Reinsve and Stellan Skargsard. My review at @moviefone.bsky.social: www.moviefone.com/news/movie-r...

More than 1.1 million already laid off this year. Elect a Republican, get a recession. Well, this might be worse, because we elected a monster and buffoon who bankrupted every one of his companies, and may well do the same to what's left of America. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

Predator: Badlands, like its predecessor, does different and fresh things with its mythos, which is more than the Alien franchise can say. Badlands doesn't quite sustain its initial momentum, but it's epic, thrilling and thoughtful genre filmmaking.

People fucking hate this guy. They fucking hate ICE. They fucking hate how much power he has. He is at 63% overall disapproval to 37% approval. That's lower than their poll after January 6th. And this poll was done before he started intentionally starving people. I wish our media would reflect this.

🚨BIG changes happening -- ICE leadership is being purged tonight. The old guard, which prioritized targeted enforcement operations aimed at people with criminal records, is being replaced with Border Patrol and Gregory Bovino's "Midway Blitz" style.

The fact that just 53% of the American people disapprove of Trump's destruction of the White House is disheartening. As someone wrote in a post I saw, more Americans would rise up if Dancing With The Stars was canceled. We're forgetting history and we'll pay the ultimate price.
