The attention seeking is absolutely nuts now too and I’ve seen so many people falling victim to that shit just absolutely nuking their personalities for twitter likes and it makes me so depressed to see like genuinely kind people rotting at the hand of big drama
This fandom feels like it’s become a hater competition I’m not talking about like callout posts and valid crashouts or anything like that but it’s just that everyone is always at somebodies throat about something. It feels like everyone hates everything there’s a lack of kindness here now
My first con surrounded by friends was one of the first times I felt unconditional love and gratitude from and to my peers but I just don’t really feel that anymore. Sure I’ve got some good ass friends still but I don’t think I need the fandom to keep in contact with them.
