When talking of AI people seem (to me) to focus on "intelligence" rather than "artificial." But the whole issue is not AI's ability to handle and sift data, but its actual artificiality - we allow our thoughts & actions to be directed without bond or mutuality.

I have NEVER lived in such ghastly, dangerous times. Just because something doesn't LOOK like the Third Reich that doesn't mean it's not fascism.
