I have no words. To be able to share this with my sons is incredible.
Blue Jays fans may disagree, but Bregman would be a perfect fit.
The best available free agent at third base?
Alex Bregman.
He posted his career max exit velo of 109.6 mph just this past season 👀

Honestly, I can’t think of a better scenario for a country clearly at a crossroads with its unwilling to dance largest trading partner.
Dimitri Soudas, former Harper comms guy, told RadCan this morning that he's hearing Conservative MP Matt Jeneroux will cross the floor to the Liberals today.
If this happens, the Liberals are one seat short of a majority. You know what that means.
That's right.
Elizabeth May is Kingmaker.

Not only do I want the Jays return to the Series next year, I hope they face the Dodgers and take them in five.

Per his Instagram, RH reliever TJ Brock is recovered and throwing at full speed. Younger players take time to recover their command after UCL surgery, but he could be in the Blue Jays bullpen by June.

SS Josh Kasevich, making his way back after a season largely lost to injuries, ranks 7th with an 89% Z contact rate in the Arizona Fall League.
He’s also getting married in a few weeks.

Cal Ripken led the Orioles to a World Series win at the age of 23.
He didn’t play in another one during his storied career.
That’s why it’s important to savour the experience, regardless of the result.

I’m still processing what was the most eventful 30 hours of my six decades of baseball fandom.
A newsletter will be forthcoming when I’ve organized my thoughts about it, and how it relates to the Blue Jays farm system.

I’m not sure this is making the argument you think it is.
You think Ohtani getting some extra time between innings made the difference? I mean I he gave up a 3 run bomb. Didn’t seem to be helping him that much.

For those not alive in 1987, the whole last week for the Blue Jays was as gut-wrenching as last night. They lost their last 7 to lose the pennant. Every day, I woke up thinking, “they’ll win tonight.”
And they didn’t. That was torturous.

Baseball first broke my heart in 1981.
It truly is a game of failure, which makes both the pinnacles and valleys of the sport that much more intense.

Obviously, Bessent is still smarting from Canada’s Four Nations hockey win.
BREAM: How do trade talks get back on with Canada?
BESSENT: We'll see. This is very serious. The prime minister of Ontario, who I imagine is smarting quite a bit from the Blue Jays loss, spent $75 million interfering in US public policy. A price has got to be paid for this.

While I don’t know if this was the greatest Series ever (recency bias and all that), I’m fairly confident you can put Yamamoto’s performance up with those of Smokey Joe Wood, Pete Alexander, Sandy Koufax, Bob Gibson, Mickey Lolich, and Randy Johnson.
