Wayne’s education, for all intents and purposes, began to grind to a halt when he moved from Brantford to Toronto to play Jr B at 13, which doesn’t tend to give one a very broad perspective. Case in point: the Forum riot gave rise to the Quiet Revolution, a landmark event in PQ’s history.

That’s a concern to be sure, but he should still provide good defence for several more seasons, and his offensive profile is just too good to overlook.

You can pin the Yankees loss to the Cards in the final game of the 1926 Series. After being walked for the 4th time, Ruth took off for 2nd. But at 31 and not known for his training habits, Ruth had slowed considerably, and was easily thrown out at 2nd.
