Carlos had the misfortune of playing his peak years first under a Belgian brewing conglomerate that had no interest in running a ball club, then a national telecommunications corporation that was far more concerned with cutting costs. Jays were never a serious contender from 1995-2003.

My great uncle J.D. Kellar was killed in an attack on the convoy he was part of in 1944. He was originally buried on the side of the road, and his remains were later transferred to Cassino. He was my late Dad’s favourite uncle.
