This is your reminder that if you are reading, watching, looking at, or otherwise enjoying the works made by anyone online, leave a review.

It's 2025 and reviews are EVERYTHING for algorithms, but more than that, they can honestly make someone's day, especially in these dark times

Hey, author friendos. Now's a great time to come up with a microfiction to waste anti-union time.

I wrote a little gay romance.

I'm sure they'll like it, but the important part was the two fellas fell in love at a strike action, and were married by their union rep.
And just learned that not only has management put the snitch form on the uni website, they've embedded it as a pop-up window in our Learning Management System to directly target our students and try to turn them against us.

I've known Penn as a friend for over 25 years (we met when he was in an episode of Babylon 5 I wrote). One of the best things about him is that he changes his mind based on new information. I don't know many people who do that. I'm not even sure that I do.
for you and everybody wanting to see Penn be classy and awesome, here he is when his NB child Moxie appears on FOOL US and being so, so happy that his baby is putting one over on him (where so many people would be annoyed):

I know lots of folks in comics love it but one day I hope the beautiful, hilarious, love letter to superhero comics and all their madness that was Brave and the Bold has as much of a direct impact on future stories as something like BTAS did

(It won't, but I can dream)

This is an amazing story. Houston criminalized feeding the homeless, Food not Bombs continued to do so, the city has ticketed them dozens of times and occasionally arrested members but hasn’t been able to get a single conviction. www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston...
Food Not Bombs trial rescheduled after too many jurors objected to $500 fine for feeding homeless
Roughly 90 tickets have been issued since March to volunteers with the loosely organized Food Not Bombs, which serves meals to people in need.

Fun DMing tip:

Have a mysterious NPC that can see across all time and it's branching lines at once so you can give vague prophecies and hints at the future (or reveals of mysterious past) and if they don't end up happening its fine they were just seeing another timeline

Great songs (according to pirateaba) used in Gravesong and The Wandering Inn.

Do you think the music matches with the moments?

Re-reading one of my personal comfort comics, @johnrogers.bsky.social and Andrea Di Vito's Dungeons & Dragons run and it really is just absurd how effective it is at both telling a snappy, entertaining fantasy story while also balancing the precise energy of how an actual D&D session plays out

None of the people screaming about the war on Christianity will give a shit about a pastor being charged for helping people not freeze to death despite it being 10000% more applicable to Christianity than putting statues in courthouses or whatever
I had to look up the charges:

Ohio law prohibits residential use in first-floor buildings in a business district, so cops came during a church service and issued 18 zoning violations bc the pastor was letting people sleep there so they didn't freeze to death!

It's COVID (and flu, and RSV). If chronic absenteeism worries you, then you have to fix the fucking pandemic. Masking. Vaccines. Better air quality. Instead, we're just demanding sick kids go to school and make everyone else sick.
White House urges schools to address absenteeism amid troubling data
Public school attendance last fall averaged 90 percent, according to a federal survey, a figure that experts say remains too low.
