I think that I should be able to message someone through the Libby app who has the book I have on hold and bother them to finish it faster.

I'm not saying other people should also have this ability, I'm just saying I should. I would only use it for good, I promise.

You ready for our 2026 Valentines??

The art is ready for ya 😍

As with everything on our shop, sales of these valentines support @skypeascientist.bsky.social!

This year's cards were designed by Philly artist @aprilfinfrock.bsky.social! Obsessed with how these turned out.

Masks shame liberals. Masks remind them that they cared about COVID once and then made a conscious decision one day to stop. They hate being reminded that they're not the bastions of morality that they pretend to be.
Dear Jon Stewart c/o @weeklyshowpodcast.bsky.social
I recently watched, with great surprise and disappointment, a weeklyshowpodcast segment in which you and other "personalities," gleefully mocked and derided the relatively small subset of individuals who continue to wear a face mask in public.

The best holiday gift I could ask for is to meet my sales goal this month so I can start off the new year with no credit card debt <3

Just listed a new set + put a few pairs on sale while inventory lasts; go snag those before they're gone → cvkvlv.com

Goal progress in comments ↓

Don't touch shit.
What is your theme for the new year?

Mine is: Go where you are wanted.

What did YOUR family argue about over Christmas dinner? Mine argued about whether TNR is the best method to deal with feral cat colonies. And by argued I mean we tried desperately to explain to my uncle that it's a proven method and he said we thought we knew more than trained field biologists. 🤷

I don’t mean to sound extreme, but I don’t think we should have torture camps for people with criminal records either.

Watching Starship Troopers. Its genuinely so funny that my dad showed me this movie when I was, like, 10 years old. Sure, I saw Jurassic Park when I was 6, and Tremors not too long after, but ST is violent as FUCK. And I'm pretty sure the only thing he was actually worried about was the nudity. 😂

This man is so dangerous. Attacking chaplains is maybe the least of his current evils, but it's a prime example of this administration's obsession with stoking the fires of a Satanic Panic 2.0. Chaplains serve EVERYONE - not just Christians - and to do this, we must have an interfaith foundation.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth this week ordered sweeping changes to the U.S. military's chaplain corps, with a plan to simplify a system that he said has become too focused on "new age" concepts.

The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.

We see y'all. No matter what.

First-of-a-kind study shows encouraging data for trans kids who socially transition
Ninety-four percent of participants in a new study stood firm in their trans identity after five years, and "detransitioning" is rare.

An important reminder that the Pacific Northwest does in fact get tornadoes! Dangerous ones!
Today is the 7th anniversary of an EF2 tornado hitting the Port Orchard area with winds up to 130 mph. While damaging homes and business, there were no fatalities or serious injuries. Photo courtesy of The Seattle Times. Learn more about tornados and staying safe at buff.ly/7fahqyD

Asked why no one outside the state of Washington cares enough about its flooded communities that just lost everything they own right before Christmas, today the nation admitted it just kinda assumed the PNW was always living underwater in some sort of giant puddle like that.

THIS is why I harp on other Washington State agency or elected official accounts that don't use alt text. Not just because it's a requirement, but because it matters!
@emd.wa.gov dear emd social media folks, I send your stuff to friends in wa basically daily now, thank you for always being so present and informative (and your alt text means even my low vision friends get up to date info, double thank you) xoxo Jo
