The EPA will approve two new pesticides containing “forever chemicals” and relax a reporting rule for companies who make products with forever chemicals.

The moves come after a $60 million lobbying blitz from the forever chemical industry.

Where is the MAHA outcry?

Unfortunately, I can confirm that this is true.

I have known Carl for 2 decades and he is smart, dedicated, and quite apolitical, focused on science and getting stuff done on important problems.

Huge unnecessary loss of leadership and expertise.
Hearing news that Carl Dieffenbach, the Director of the Division of AIDS at #NIH (NIAID), has been removed from his position because he was "not aligned with HHS/OMB."

Russell Vought continues to remove great scientists as part of the Project 2025 mission to politicize and destroy NIH.

Horrifying.
They’re doing eugenics right out in the open now, largely because Trump, RFK Jr, Dr Oz and the rest of the fascists have been pushing a eugenicist agenda since they seized control.

It’s white Christian nationalism and it’s dangerous.

Disabled people are not “imperfect”.

We are also not expendable

Project 2025 and Heritage in general have long called for basically eliminating research and public health programs against all STIs since those diseases are (in their words) "100% avoidable" and also that the govt should not subsidize promiscuous lifestyles

As if it needs repeating but if you’re still on xitter you are 100% aiding and abetting Putin
If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

If the 28-point plan came from Russia and somehow ended up in the hands of U.S. lawmakers, then we don’t have a “leak” problem we have a foreign influence problem. And anyone downplaying that should not be anywhere near national security decisions.

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

As I was saying....
This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.

Once upon a time, a conspiracy theorist asked a legislator to help him become HHS secretary.

“But you’ll take away vaccines,” said the legislator.

Got it.
