Always read contracts you're sent to sign, even if you're told it's "boilerplate".
Understand what you're agreeing to and don't be afraid to ask questions or request adjustments.
When you're starting out you may not have much room to negotiate, but at least you can go into it with your eyes open.

100% Every part of the writing process IS writing, including being stuck, being frustrated, being unable to start.
I think every comics creator should internalize the fact that using a.i. for any part of your job not only comprises your work but it also fucks over every other person working with you. It's not worth it. Ever.
