This thread is great. And, similar to OP, I never really planned to try and understand any of this, but started observing immigration hearings last summer. I always knew it was unfair and broken, but it’s still so much worse than I thought.
I don’t really know what I expect in posting this, but maybe some people see it and can learn from it.

I’ll call it “lessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.”
