So, the news says Nevada National Guard is preparing to assist ICE.
Called the governor’s office, where the person answering the phone denied it and said they’re just going to be helping with administration and paperwork.
I said that is indeed working with ICE and don’t you dare BS us.

Go, a college student, has a dependent visa (her mother, an Episcopal minister, is here on a religious worker visa), which doesn't expire until Dec. But when she tried to renew it early, ICE nabbed her and sent her halfway across the US to a detention center.

Now is the time that I remind you that, while plague has been endemic in the western United States for 70+ years and this is a normal occurrence, our work does seem to strongly suggest climate change is increasing spillover risk onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....
