Very excited to present my latest work tmr with @giorgiomalet.bsky.social on the political behaviour of farmers in times of growing environmental regulations

Thrilled to contribute to this policy brief on making climate policies electorally popular. @fergusgreen.bsky.social and I stress the need to provide redistribution to affected groups, involve trusted stakeholders (unions) in the process, and use strategic communication to counter misinformation.

New article accepted at CPS. @denis-cohen.bsky.social @thmskrr.bsky.social and I analyze how rental market risk affects radical right support. Combining data on local rent increases with the SOEP, we find that individuals facing increasing local rents become more likely to support the AfD. 🧵

See our WP on the effect of women's labor market participation on gender conservative attitudes among men. We don't find a direct link between the two, but the influence of political elites and influencers (e.g., Trump, Tate, Musk)—who can mobilise male grievances—could change this dynamic.
