Exposure to uncritical interviews also increases perceptions that a larger portion of the population shares these views (i.e. normalisation effects). (6/12)

We find in both countries that uncritical interviews boost agreement with extreme right statements (i.e. persuasion effects). (5/12)

We use survey experiments where respondents hear either the interview or a weather report, and whether it's on TV (Sky News) or online (YouTube). We also test the impact of a UK journalist challenging Robinson’s views. (4/12)

We use real interviews with Blair Cottrell & Tommy Robinson broadcast on Sky News in AU & UK. Topics include immigration, Islam, crime, terrorism—similar to Robinson's recent rhetoric on migrants. (3/12)
