Good news—got my braces taken off today, after 1,356 days. Almost the same amount of time as an undergraduate degree, averaging 1,460 days.

We who care about that our tax $$ are distributed fairly to promote the health, education and welfare of the American people are at the beginning of our battle with a presidency and a movement that would deny Americans of our funding priorities. Every town meeting, phone call, letter gets us closer
"In a town with just over 1,000 residents, hundreds of people packed Belmont's Community Building Saturday for a town hall hosted by Democratic Rep. Mark Pocan.

The building was filled to capacity with people even waiting outside and peeking through the windows..."

Now is a good time to replace democratic leadership. This is weak and pathetic.

“Immigrants didn’t take my job. President Donald Trump did.”

Which side is Trump on?
"Immigrants didn't steal my job. The president did."

Fuck this fascist Musk. And mock him relentlessly. Who the hell does he think he is? And why is Vice President Trump letting him do this?
This is for @gtconway.bsky.social

Five things I did last week.

1. Took too much ketamine
2. Danced onstage with a chainsaw
3. Ignored my new baby momma
4. Laughed at my own jokes.
5. Neglected all of my children except for the one I use as a human shield.

@gtconway.bsky.social was a very good boy this week.

4. Read court decisions saying Trump & his boss Elon violated laws

5. Made this list

Perfect response to someone in high office who nonetheless feels the world owes him fealty and bullies accordingly. What a sad, strange little man.
Mr Garcia, I have drafted an appropriate response for you. You're welcome.

Everyone has been traumatized. Everyone deserves compassion and opportunities to heal—even bullies like Musk and Trump. By choosing to demean the traumatized, they are denying and delaying their own need for self-improvement that all the money and power in the world cannot buy.
“I will use every tool at my disposal to protect this country from Trump. I will litigate to defend voting rights until there are no cases left to bring. I will speak out against authoritarianism until my last breath.

“I will not back down. I will not bow or scrape. I will never obey.”
Elon Musk recently posted on his site that another lawyer and I are “undermining civilization.” He goes on to ask if we suffered childhood trauma and concludes by suggesting we are suffering from “generational trauma.” This is my response. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/my-o...

While Musk plays pirate, there are consequences for actual human beings. My son was set to begin work for a youth job corps that specializes in teaching 18-24 year olds from diverse backgrounds to do conservation projects. He lost this opportunity, and the org is downsizing. #ShareYourStories

The takeover of the US by the worst people reminds me of middle school popularity contests. Hegseth’s the jock, Bondi the cheerleader, R.F.K. Jr. the sociopathic animal killer, Gabbard the sockhop queen runner up, Patel the creepy little toady.

Rep. Garcia is done with gentility in a decidedly non-genteel political arena. Democrats need to give as good as they get.
The best messaging is to state what everyone knows to be the truth in the simplest and clearest way possible.

So it’s hard to imagine more effective messaging than this.
Brianna Keilar: Do you think that calling Elon Musk a dick is effective messaging?

Congressman Robert Garcia: Well, he is a dick.

We are in an abusive relationship with our government. Stay sane, stay kind, stay connected to whom and what you love. Pay more attention to becoming yourself, and less to the insane, inhumane and disordered beings who are running things.

Can anyone explain why this illegitimate, illegal action by Bessent, Musk and his droogs, the equivalent of letting the powerful grab us by the p*ssy, is not being vigorously countered?
It is astonishing that mainstream media is covering this like it is a shruggie vibe 🤷‍♂️

Oregon Senator Ron Wyden is one of only a few electeds speaking up about the outrageous looting of the US Treasury, by unelected Elon Musk an his droogs, aided and abetted by the Teasury Sec., Scott Bessent. They need to be stopped.
Follow Senator Ron Wyden.
NEW: Sources tell my office that Treasury Secretary Bessent has granted DOGE *full* access to this system. Social Security and Medicare benefits, grants, payments to government contractors, including those that compete directly with Musk's own companies. All of it.

The 75 million Americans who voted for Harris/Walz know right from wrong. Let’s lead with the truth to counter lies about who we are, where we’ve been and where we’re going.
There’s been a kind of…fashion of late to view anti-Trump libs as lame and cringe and just annoying, aesthetically. I remember this exact same aesthetic judgment in the run-up to the Iraq war. The earnest libs were right then and they’re right now.
