Free thinker, lover of gardens and democracy. Abides no both sides-y whataboutism garbage.
Not enough attention being paid to the destruction of judicial powers in the GOP bill.

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

1/ A 🧵 to explain his plan and how we fight back.

After a decade of debate, Georgia approved one of the most divisive bills in recent state history with a “religious liberty” measure that supporters say protects faith-based beliefs from government overreach and critics decry as a license to discriminate. ajc.com/politics/rep...
Republicans push divisive ‘religious liberty’ bill through Georgia Legislature
After decade-long fight, Georgia Republicans muscle through a 'religious liberty' bill; Kemp expected to sign it.

Whoever came up with these supposed tariff rates is like Kramer from Seinfeld when he pretended to work at that job "in business"

We just learned that Trump spent $40 million in taxpayer dollars to keep 400 migrants in Guantanamo for a month. For that amount of money you could pay more than 375 federal workers (at their average salary) for a full year.

Perhaps this is why Musk and the Admin are data mining federal data systems—looks like they’re looking to make money off of privatizing and cryptotizing federal housing programs.

Someone is going to make a LOT of money from this (and destabilize the housing and mortgage markets in the process). ⬇️

They're trying to silence the media because they don't want you to know what they're doing.
Trump megadonor Steve Wynn has filed a petition asking the Supreme Court to overturn the landmark 1964 decision in New York Times v. Sullivan, which protects the media's ability to aggressively cover public officials. www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/24...

Kash Patel is wholly unqualified to lead the FBI

This is a dangerous appointment.
Even in a party full of loyalists, Kash Patel is exceptional in his devotion to Donald Trump, Elaina Plott Calabro reported in August. What wouldn’t a person like that do to stay close to power?
