Google's AI Overview informed me that "Morse Code Day is celebrated on April 27th. It commemorates the invention of Morse Code on this day by Samuel Morse."

Oddly enough, April 27th is also Samuel Morse's birthday.

This commission statement refers to people with Autism, ADHD, asthma, auto-immune disease, and chronic illness as a “dire threat to the American people and our way of life”.

This is a manifesto against disability.

This is the language of eugenics.

Call me crazy, but maybe a more effective way to combat campus antisemitism than surveiling Muslim and international students would be not to have people giving Nazi salutes at the front of government, and for organizations ostensibly combating antisemitism to condemn those people.

I went to post about the National Japanese American Memorial in D.C., which is beautiful but usually missed by tourists. It is a deeply staggering admission of guilt and a warning to future Americans. I went to link to the inscriptions and-

Well, they took the site down. www.nps.gov/places/japan...

Obviously I care deeply about all the research I've done been involved with and think it's all important and very valuable, but I did not think that, of the fields I've worked in, cancer research would be the first to be directly targeted by this administration.

Maybe someday cricket will stop calling an over in which no runs were scored a maiden over. It's especially jarring to hear on commentary between two teams of 18-year-old girls. It grates in the same way as when people talk about research being seminal.

It's horrible how disappointing and mealy-mouthed and lacking in backbone the Democratic congressional delegation from New Hampshire continues to be. What shameful stuff from Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen.
Shame on the Dems who just voted to advance the Laken Riley Act to a vote, which would enable Trump to ramp up a deportation agenda and empower right-wing cops and AGs:

Cortez Masto
Gallego
Hassan
Kelly
Ossoff
Peters
Rosen
Shaheen
Slotkin
Warner

Fetterman would have if he were there.

I’m sorry, this might be a great investigation, but “as it was never intended” is obscene. This is precisely how many people specifically and repeatedly told us — warned us — it would be used.

Great bipartisan legislation idea for the new congress:

Pass universal free breakfast and lunch in public schools.

It would cost less than one percent of what the federal government spends on education.

No hungry kids. No stigma. Higher morale. Better grades.

It's a no-brainer.
