Ppl can probably tell I was having trouble coming up with an idea for this cover, but that's ok, not all of them have to have 5-layer symbolism or be deeply connected to the chapter itself.

All my covers are self-contained stories of their own.

After 5 years of being squeezed for everything I'm worth & still being asked of more than what I can physically give & having my boundaries trampled over, this week was the final straw. I finally put in a transfer request to Bakery.

I cannot fucking do Pickup anymore. E-commerce is hell on earth.

An uneasy Lyga hears a mysterious wail from the deep woods and makes the cautious decision to enter the thicket. An inquisitive Lyga wanders through the thicket and comes upon something peculiar: a brightly glowing jar sitting atop a stone pedestal in the middle of a room made of the thick branches. Lyga picks up the mysterious glowing jar, only to be startled by what appears to be an eye within it, staring back at her. She drops the jar in a fright. The skeleton of a massive, humanoid figure bursts forth in a brilliant explosion from the chattered jar, bathing the room and an astonished Lyga in light.

Something I love doing in my works is reference famous paintings from the old masters that are most prominent to me. I plan to do at least ONE per series that I do, I've done 2 of my favs so far and it made me super stoked when people pointed them out before I said anything!

Something I didn't expect with A&H is how many people really liked and resonated with Bridgette. She's a fine example of my comedic characters that I take BEYOND just a comic relief role.

#6 One of my fave actual pieces for A&H was this one that actually predated the comic, back in 2019 iirc. The scene where they meet is one of the first ones that came to mind. I actually ended up redrawing this one to use in the actual chapter!

The dark-haired woman frantically begins gathering her soaked papers to spare them further torment from the rain. Another woman approaches her from behind. The dark-haired woman's haste is suddenly interrupted. The dark-haired woman's hand finds the final piece of paper she had been absent-mindedly searching for grasped in the firm grip of the other woman, and in an instant- the world is filled with color. The two women lock eyes as the new woman with ginger hair, stands before her. The dark-haired woman frets over her ruined umbrella. The ginger-haired woman serves her a coy grin and gestures an offer of her own umbrella. The two exchange a playful smile, maybe even a chuckle, before their gaze finally breaks and rests upon their hands having found a home in one another's grasp. The world is filled with color.
