It isn't the #liberal community overreach that is the problem. It is the overreach combined with the arrogance of certainty, #cancellation, and #condescension. It is that combination that many find so insufferable. I think that is understandable.

1. I think the dumbest thing #Democrats could do right now is be too self-congratulatory and think that the time of their introspection is over. If we want to save #democracy, I think there needs to be a lot more time given to figuring out Democrats', both leadership and voters, in the rise of #MAGA

Hispanic voters in NJ made a strong swing back to Democrats. But rather than gloat about how MAGA will always betray them, which is true, Dems should still be asking "Why did they swing Republican in the first place?" and intently listening to the answer. I don't think we have.

I respect #DavidBrooks way more than I respect a lot of my fellow Liberals/Progressives/Lefties. Although I don't agree everything he says here is equal, I do believe it is equal enough to be talked about. And I definitely do think the left often led the way in the last 2 decades in illiberalism.

Here is why I was opposed to using the #shutdown to #fight for almost any liberal political position, including health #insurance premiums. It always seems like the most vulnerable pay the price. And here we are. #SNAP benefits. A lot of people who say "fight" aren't the ones who sacrifice.

I think it is important to think about the fact it is certain some of the people who went to protest yesterday for #NoKings were people who voted for the Tyrant in 2024. I think it is important to recognize we've all been wrong before, even egregiously wrong. And sometimes we stay wrong for a while.
