Amazing when you have a system that lets the private sector deliver a public service it gets rorted.

Grog’s Rule: When you privatise public services be sure to also allocate space in a few years for the Royal Commission into abuses in the system.
Weird that it’s turning out to be the providers, not the recipients, ripping off the NDIS.

It’s almost as if the Morrison government was so incompetent that it’s taken three years of organised work to clean it up. Incompetent and/or corrupt.

Australia is one of the worlds richest countries. we can afford $360 billions for nuclear submarines and $14 billion per year for fossil fuel subsidies. We can give away more than half the gas we export for free.…

But our privatised health system can’t even keep maggots & mould from our hospitals

It’s like the EPA doesn’t understand what its job is.
Who wants pristine environments poisoned in perpetuity?

We’re in the biggest, sunniest, windiest state. So much free energy from the sun.

And we’re already in a climate emergency.

Dumb decisions made dirt cheap.

Australia, pay attention.

AUKUS is totally compromised & untenable.

There is no logical reason to continue with it.

It’s ridiculously expensive.

It puts all our defence options in one very limited & risky basket.

That money would be better spent elsewhere on health, housing, education, women
2026 is going to be a very dark year for US foreign policy, where everything that was built over many decades by leaders for collective security is torn apart by one madman, but only because people in his own party remain silent.

How about no? Trump, who enabled Netanyahu’s deadliest policies, is now leading the peace process.
That’s like Murdoch writing the media code of ethics.
Australia shouldn’t go anywhere near it.

Trump says civil rights led to white people being "very badly treated".

Donald Trump is a racist. Period.

(And he's also one of the whiniest, most pathetic people to ever hold public office.)

AUKUS is completely and utterly untenable. We would be insane to maintain this alliance with a corrupt, malignant, treacherous nation.

Dump AUKUS. It was always a dumb Morrison idea.

It’s even dumber to continue with such a pointless, tainted, very risky, outdated plan.

And the rest of the party, who chose him as leader and campaigned on his policies, did not come here to praise Caesar . . .
