Retired CPA here. The Alternative Minimum Tax is a method that the government uses to try to have individuals and corporations pay a more equitable amount of tax on earnings. Society calls these loopholes. We should care about this. It's one of the reasons we have such a wealth disparity.

Justice Alito swears he isn’t trying to overturn marriage equality, while the Supreme Court just so happens to be looking at a case that could do exactly that. Kind of like how Trump totally had no clue about Project 2025, right? 🙄
