Hey so this is being WILDLY mis-interpreted.

This is NOT actually proposing any change to how postmarks function, are applied, or work.

It's codifying how automated mail processing components which have been around for 20+ years now have functionally impacted default postmark timing.

This rule is going to fuck a LOT of people and businesses, especially since folks probably won't know until it's too late. Thankfully you can still go inside a post office and request a hand-stamped postmark to make absolute sure of the postmarked date.
