notes on "be seen trying": I think this is the most terrifying thing I choose to do. But there is something powerful about letting yourself be a beginner without shame. To pick things up and put them down, and pivot, without feeling like a failure.

Oh I'm a quarterfinalist in a big short story competition so that's exciting! Everyone who sighed, laughed and cried with me about Merci and Whitney helped (re)shape the story and I submitted it. I'll find out if I moved on to the next round in march I think
