Healthcare in the US is quite dystopian. When I filled a prescription here in Deutschland, I almost cried because it was so affordable. But this example is a bit numerous, albeit absurd.

Little reminder that the Regime will post and say many racist things. We don't have to repeat or share them. We can just name "President shares heinous racist image again."

"The American media makes things that are abnormal seem normal. The European press doesn’t do that. So you’ll see when they report on Trump’s rambling Davos speech, they will say it made no sense. In the US press, you’ll just see excerpts and an attempt to sanitize it." — @anneapplebaum.bsky.social

We need to not just focus on the White citizens being killed. What's happening in the camps is dangerous, involving children. We need them to know that we care about ALL people and will hold them accountable.

People say "cruelty is the point" but it's really death. They want people dead to have their ethnic cleansing and they're going to engineer every situation so people die but not in a way they'll go to trial for murder.

Unlivable conditions to make unliving people.

NEW: A baby held in immigration detention became so sick, she had to be rushed to a hospital in severe respiratory distress.

“She was at the brink of dying,” a lawyer told me.

But the girl didn’t go home after her 10-day hospital stay; instead, ICE put her and her mother back in lock up at Dilley.

The 18-month-old was sent back to a South Texas facility after days in intensive care with severe respiratory distress, according to a federal lawsuit.

Locking up people without cause, lying, denying medical care, housing with the wrong gender....trans people are being kidnapped and tortured by ICE.

I do want to shout-out my fellow sociologists, who have collectively created a discipline so woke that not a single one of our introductory textbooks can make it past Florida's censors.

Great work everyone.

Minneapolis teaches us that resistance can be fun and creative.
Minneapolis residents are trying a new tactic to slow and deter federal agents from entering city neighborhoods. Called filter blockades, they’re pop-up block parties in the middle of city streets, and they’ve already earned the ire of Trump border czar Tom Homan (1) www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...

In a democracy, military members are free to spend their money and free time how they wish, not being forced to help cover a bribe (Melania got a record $28 mil "for" the doc.)

“Is it too obvious to say that of course the right only values family as a system of ownership and property, only values motherhood as a way to push women from public life… only values babies & births when they are white babies and white births, meant to reproduce the nation as they imagine it?”
"The people tearing these loved ones apart are often the very same people who have spent so much of the past several years lecturing the American people, and in particular American women, about the importance of parenthood and family," writes @moiradonegan.bsky.social.

There is a massive pedophile ring in the United States. Of the most involved - 1 woman is in a fancy prison, 1 man holds the highest office and is kidnapping people, including girls.

U.S. academics - we need to give some thought to the way in which privilege and abuse plays out. We can start with what happened with Epstein, but we all know it doesn't end there.
Academics vying for a spot in Epstein‘s world. There are so many. I feel the need to make a thread, so I don’t keep confusing them. 1/

It's near-white out conditions in Chicago as the snow comes down, and tonight's anti-ICE/CBP rally is wrapping up in front of city hall.

But not before the crowd bounces and chants, "I believe that we will win!"
