Donald Trump is stripping critical public health funding with one goal in mind: harming states he doesn’t like.

It’s a slap in the face to Illinoisans.

We will not stand by idly as Trump illegally cancels the Congressionally-allocated funding we are owed.
Illinois AG sues to prevent Trump admin. from cutting $600M in public health funds from 4 states
Illinois' attorney general is suing to block the Trump administration from cutting public health funding. Among the $600 million in cuts would be a $5.2 million program at Lurie Children's Hospital.

No way will I attend the White House dinner with this President.

I’m standing with @govwesmoore.bsky.social and @colorado.gov — and standing against Trump’s corruption and hatred.

And I’m calling on my Republican colleagues to do the same.

The decision reverses a lower court ruling barring voters from being able to do so.

Bondi stamps her foot & whines about how she has to talk about her failures in doing the job that taxpayers are paying her to do instead of hearing her talk about the economy, which is not her job.
Bondi plays the tattered & torn ‘own the libs’ card oblivious to the reality that this isn’t a game.
Bondi: "They are talking about Epstein today. This has been around since the Obama administration…The DOW is over $50,000 right now…Americans' 401 (k) s and retirement savings are booming. That's what we should be talking about."

The AG serves at the pleasure of Trump but answers to the law and ultimately to the people through their elected representatives. Treating Congressional oversight with derision is not just bad manners, it is rejecting the foundational principle that executive power is constrained and accountable.
I’ve watched a lot of congressional hearings over the last 40 years. This performance by Bondi is the single most unprofessional, non-responsive, reprehensible and obnoxious I have ever seen from any witness who has testified before any committee of either chamber.

The AG's job is to be the people's lawyer, to stand for those who cannot stand for themselves. Bondi's inability to look at Epstein victims is not just shame, it is an admission that she serves a different master than justice.

Goldman brings Epstein victims into the hearing to directly confirm their willingness to be interviewed by DOJ. All are willing but none has been asked by DOJ. Goldman puts support for victims into action in this confrontation with DOJ failures in their Epstein investigation. Forced to face victims!
Rep. Goldman: "Todd Blanche said that any victim who wants to speak with the DOJ has done so…How many of you actually have met with the DOJ? None. How many of you have reached out…to offer to provide testimony or evidence? All of them…How many of you were denied or ignored by the DOJ? All of them.

It’s extraordinary that the President of the United States upended a major project involving extensive trade and cooperation with an important ally right after a billionaire pal chatted with a cabinet member, who then apparently had a quick word with Trump about the situation, and everyone yawns.
Remarkable: Trump's deranged threat to block the bridge connecting Detroit to Canada is backfiring, giving Dems a big issue in 2026 races in Michigan, which could help decide control of Congress.

Michigan Dems tell me they'll use this against Republicans big time:
