Pulled a pair of pants out of the Mend Pile to darn creatively. Using a Katrinkles Darning Loom and black yarn, I’m weaving over the holes to create black on black texture repairs. The goal is not invisible or perfect repairs; just interesting.

Why do people shorten someone’s name when that person has never introduced themselves by that shortened name, and in fact, continues to refer to themselves by the name they prefer?

Homegrown collards with ham and black-eyed peas, plenty of seasoning (a kick on the backend), and crusty bread. Followed by grape juice mixed with seltzer for a festive bubbly (grapes we grew; juiced and canned this Fall). 💗

The Double Indemnity house in LA - Walter Neff says in the movie that it probably cost the owner $30k. (Ok, it’s a movie, so who knows how accurate.) In 2025 Zillow estimates it at $2m.
$30k in 1944 = $552k in 2025. So… (assuming film accuracy) the house value outstripped inflation ~4x over?
