Learn to use the warp tool. If you're having trouble visualising how something (e.g. shoulder pad) wraps around a curved plain and what would be seen, draw it flat and front on then use the warp tool to "wrap" it around the object give a yourself a rough guide to work from. Then pull out the forms.
Artists, QRP with a practical art "hack" you use. Let's share some wit & knowhow.

Tough year. I removed myself from most social media sites and nearly all of my former clients turned to AI, decimating my freelance work. Having felt I'd reached a point in 2024 where I had gotten my creative fill from my art anyway however, I started focusing more on writing and I'm enjoying it. ❤️

So very true. I think it's why I'm really enjoying writing right now. I used to get quite granular while painting too, really try and place myself in the world and get to the core of why everything in the image was the way it appeared at that moment. It wasn't just about creating a pretty image.
If the writer’s eyes light up when asked, “why did the character do that?” then it’s real.
