Twelve days in Gaza: what happened while the world looked away?
One of the consequences of Israel’s 12-day conflict with Iran was a drop-off in attention paid to the war in Gaza, where a terrible humanitarian situation deteriorated even further. This is a timeline of what happened

We still have a major communication issue regarding extreme #heat, particularly when the news media use photos of beaches or children playing in water fountains. #climatechange
Across Portugal, Spain and France, some areas could exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the coming days, the result of a hot-air mass that recently brought record-breaking heat and humidity to the eastern United States, and another from Africa.
Extreme heat grips southern Europe as temperatures surpass 100 degrees
Portugal is expected to see highs of up to 109 degrees Fahrenheit. Parts of Spain, France, Italy and Greece are also bracing for extreme heat.

By now, we've all seen the video of Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA) being forcibly removed and handcuffed for asking a question during Kristi Noem's press conference.

But what Noem said just moments before the video was taken is "classic authoritarian red-baiting," points out @davidcorn.bsky.social.

Israel will never be able to scrub away the stain of the genocide it’s is committing.

Generations will pass and Israel will still be known as the nation that rejoiced in the killing of babies and children.

AUKUS isn’t just about submarines — it’s about trust, leadership, and protecting Australia’s future. We’ve spent $800M with no plan, no guarantees, and no Plan B. I’m calling for a full, independent review. Good allies ask — and answer — hard questions. #AUKUS #GoldsteinVotes

The Guardian is reporting that Trump is openly violating a court order, and has transferred multiple transgender women to men's facilities.

We know in Florida, transgender women are having their hair shorn, feminine items confiscated, and pulled off medication.

This is inhumane and illegal.

Trump has replaced the head of the military, FBI, stacked SCOTUS and stated “He who saves his country does not violate any law”. He’s sided with autocrats above allies and is purging the public service of non-sycophants. AUKUS? Still beyond questioning? What would it take?

It does seem pretty weird that the Trump administration wanted the Ukraine President to sign that thing about giving the United States its mineral rights and then when he wouldn’t do it Trump was immediately like ok fuck Ukriane. Kinda seems like that should be a scandal or something

Yep, that’s exactly what’s happening.
It’s called FLOODING THE ZONE.
