Found this Roy Batty comment on a video of a man spinning a bucket full of paint across a huge canvas.
I feel old.
Mythically old.
I remember when the "Old computers" were new.

Lovely game idea:
Can a toy car become the hero of a video game? One night, its owner mysteriously vanished without a trace. Left alone in the quiet room, this little car sets out on a spooky and mysterious journey - to find the boy... Game: Lost Host

Work continues on my first solo game.
I have spent a long time setting up a beautiful development environment which allows me to work like musician: The game is always running and my code changes appear instantly.
Here is me tweaking the bullet / particle system.

Music experiment: "THE CONVERSATION"
1) Listen to internet radio from another country
2) Sample some dialogue that you don't understand
3) Chop it up rhythmically
4) Add some supporting instruments
NOTE: I don't know what these two men are talking about, it sounded benign. Apologies if it's not.

Every day on LinkedIn is a new glimpse into a new circle of hell.
I can see how this technology could be useful to make subtle changes and fix production errors, but using Fritz Lang's Metropolis as an example is just tone-deaf.
What's next - use AI to look behind the curtain in the Wizard Of Oz?

Just realised that I need to make a demo / replay system for the shmup i’m building - so I’m researching how DOOM demos are built:

I had completely forgotten that the title screen for DOOM has simulated gameplay like an arcade attract mode.

My current opinion on AI:
--> It is a tool based on cowardice and greed.
Creativity requires tension and risk. Anyone that would willingly remove these from the process is doomed to make nothing of value.
Veruca Salt summed it up nicely:

Saw Frankenstein. Thought I had the whole place to myself, but it filled up during the trailers 😠
Worth seeing on the big screen. A solid retelling of a timeless story.

Nice to see that media literacy and critical thinking is going to be added to the national curriculum – that was one of the recommendations at the end of Post-Truth, published eight years ago…
