Of course they did, and as someone who's been in front of many juries as an attorney I'll tell you why: jurors hate government overreach more than anything, and this case was such a blindingly obvious instance of serious government overreach that everyone associated with it should probably be fired.

A pardoned J6 rioter tried to assasinate Obama and guess who gave this domestic terrorist the address? Trump! When DOJ attorneys submit a sentencing memo (they caught the guy) it had these facts before the court. Until Trump FIRED the attorneys and scrubbed the court record.
So scandalous!
And the DOJ pulled back the sentencing memo that stated Trump tweeted the address and the defendant admitted that is why he knew where to go and submitted a new one that removed all that information.
