@aaronschatz.com Nice bold takes article, but unlike releases, you can't designate trades as post-June 1. They have to actually happen in June.

The history behind this thing is insane.

It closed in 2016 due to code violations.

And another Saturday with a kid having S-tier anxiety attacks and refusing to accept they're anxiety attacks.

Mental health is just utterly crippling, and the stigma that still exists has destroyed so much.

My God, RFK, the only person who aggressively suppresses *exercise* is the dude you're supporting for President.
There are many reasons why Trump must lose. But if you need another one - don't let this maniac take over the FDA

god, corporate coding would kill me

I didn't vote party lines. I *hate* the idea of political parties, where we pretend this weird thing is part of government when it's not. I'm full on Ferris Bueller: I don't believe in isms.

But they're Nazis. This isn't hard.
I was a diehard conservative who believed in small government. The George Bush created the Department of Homeland Security and passed the Patriot Act, and all the adults I looked up to cheered him on. Cognitive dissonance overwhelmed me.
Grew up in a basically-all-D family of various flavors (mom was a "save the arts!" lib, sister a "save the whales!" lib, brother a "save the weed!" lib, etc)

But experienced a wide array of government-fucking-up, so became an anti-govt R

Then discovered Rs *love* govt, to crush minorities & poors

It is so, so bizarre that the core of Trump’s policy agenda is based on just lying about how tariffs work at the most basic, 101 level imaginable. It’s not controversial. It’s not even complicated. It’s just a lie. It’s like saying income taxes are paid by leprechauns.

It is utterly ridiculous how fragmented and limited parental control tools are. And the response you get asking on forums is appalling: "just talk to your kid" "be a parent" etc. etc.

Let me be exceptionally clear to the "just be a parent" crowd: you have *no idea* what an ODD kid needs.

so if you've got a kid who's so strong willed she can make herself sick to avoid school, how do you think an appt to get braces went?

The idea that BlueSky's an echo chamber and Twitter isn't is hilarious.

Nazi dude was literally juicing the algorithm to push his speech and suppress others. That's how echo chambers *work*.
I do not want to see Nazis or spend time trying to understand the motivations of Nazis and if that means that I am part of an “echo chamber” sign me up

also nobody calling it that has ever spent five minutes trying to get leftists to agree on anything
It’s so funny and noticeable how only left leaning spaces get called “echo chambers.” Only left wing people get told we need to learn to see other people’s perspectives and understand their motivations. Do conservatives want to be understood, or do they want to dominate conversations?

it is a universal truth of my existence that the instant I post a question on Xilinx's support forum (because, y'know, I'm not special enough to open a support case b/c I'm a lowly non-professor academic) - I'll immediately get someone who didn't read the question and acts like "wtf are you doing" 😠

I tell my kids a lot that I hate gifted/smart/etc. labels because they just persist this idiotic idea that we live in a video game where you can describe people with simple numbers.

I know where my skills come from: I'm an absurdly fast reader. (So is my youngest).

I do *not* understand retail coffee prices near me - my target price used to be around $5/12 oz (around 0.40/oz) as a good price for ~reasonable coffee, and I've been seeing that *regularly* for stuff on sale a ton. I can't remember seeing B1G1 Starbucks sales and now it's 3 times in the past month.

I haven't skeeted on this year's Nobel in physics, but... uh... in a list of all of the Prizes... it's gonna stand out as not good.

It's just a hype response. If you start giving out prizes for mathematical methods that seem Super Neat you're gonna be in trouble.

Sigh.
