I was a diehard conservative who believed in small government. The George Bush created the Department of Homeland Security and passed the Patriot Act, and all the adults I looked up to cheered him on. Cognitive dissonance overwhelmed me.

it is a universal truth of my existence that the instant I post a question on Xilinx's support forum (because, y'know, I'm not special enough to open a support case b/c I'm a lowly non-professor academic) - I'll immediately get someone who didn't read the question and acts like "wtf are you doing" 😠

I do *not* understand retail coffee prices near me - my target price used to be around $5/12 oz (around 0.40/oz) as a good price for ~reasonable coffee, and I've been seeing that *regularly* for stuff on sale a ton. I can't remember seeing B1G1 Starbucks sales and now it's 3 times in the past month.
