a low tide at Clevedon Harbour this afternoon and lovely low wintery light. Nice to see a Curlew and few Redshank in between the moored boats.

Along Clevedon Sea Wall lots of birds were seen in the distance - low tide makes them harder to see!
Did see a flock of around 250+ Dunlin, maybe 25 Ringed Plover, several Curlew, and a Stonechat in a bush.

Nice weather for ducks yesterday.

several Green-Winged Teal sit on an island in a blue lake. Some white Black-Headed Gulls and other gulls sit in the background seven ducks of different type swim in a blue lake several brown Wigeon ducks swim in a blue lake two iridescent green Lapwing bird sit on a grassy island in a lake. They are joined by a black Cormorant, a Canada Goose, a duck, a corvid, a moorhen, and a gull is flying over.

No photos from me but a potential odd sighting:

A bird landed/took off from South Pool field. Merlin IDed it as a Redpoll, but couldn't be 100% sure by sight. Odd flight pattern, blackish underside. Not like Meadow Pipits which were also about.

First properly cold day of the season. Good to see the water levels much higher after all the rain at last. Mostly wigeon today, with some lapwing, a little egret, and a heron hiding from the bitterly cold #PWNR #AvonBirds
View out over scrubby grass and pools surrounded by reeds A little egret walking along the edge of a pool. Past a lapwing. The egret is white with long black legs and beak. Two lapwing which have metallic wings, white belly and a tufty head, and wigeon - ducks A heron’s head, barely visible behind grass

A rather large 13.5m high tide this morning meant a hundred-or-so Redshank were roosting inland on Portbury Wharf north island instead of their usual shoreline spot at The Hole.

A few nice little birds seen in Portishead today including:
* Kingfisher and Blackbird along The Rhine;
* Sandpiper & Grey Wagtail at The Hole;
* Reed Bunting in some trees near the Saltmarsh.

A bit of interest at Portbury Wharf today as a Marsh Harrier flushed out a lot of little birds from the south pool area including a little flock of Snipe, and a slightly larger flock of starling-sized birds (can't quite work out what they are?)

Very changeable weather at Clevedon Sea Wall this morning - bright sun to torrential rain in minutes. Last trip for a while as they're strengthening the sea wall from next week.

What a wonderful morning!!
This kingfisher was in the reeds for a little while and then came and posed on the perching post near the hide. First time we have seen one at Portbury Wharf and what a treat it was :D #AvonBirds #PWNR
A king fisher in the reeds. It’s orange belly is similar tones to the colour of the reeds so it’s well camouflaged A kingfisher looking left, with its back to us so we could see its beautiful blue colours well. It’s perching on a stick
